Jacquie Biess is a Capetonian who enjoyed the experience of walking the Fan Walk during the 2010 World Cup. Now she is doing it again for a cause.
On Mandela Day, Sunday, 18 July, Jacquie and her three daughters, all of Charly’s Bakery in the East City, will be on the Fan Walk between 12-2 to say yes to peace and no to xenophobia in Cape Town. And they have invited all Capetonians who share these sentiments to join them.
Jacquie has also teamed up with the Ubuntu Festival which is taking place in the Cape Town Central City on the weekend, so she will be starting her walk at 12h00 at the Music Festival at the top of St George’s Mall, before linking up with the Fan Walk. Why don’t you join her? I’m going to.
PS. Why don’t you also become a Fan of the Fan Walk on Facebook and keep the ‘gees’ alive!
